I hate when things don’t go according to plan. My trip was delayed 9 days, due to a plethora problems. We’re hitting the road on Wednesday. I guess this is a test of my patience. On the road, I’ll encounter a lot of delays (i.e. flat tires, weather, sickness, change of plans, etc…) Started to lose hope around the 6th day, though. I’ll admit. For the past couple of years, it always seems like things don’t work out. I wasn’t going to let that happen with this adventure! I’m cycling across America, people. 9-day delay? That’s just fine. April 24, here I come. NYC, here I come.

Hi Jasmine, where are you now? I left New York and after couple of days of cycling I’m now in Philadelphia. Everything has gone well, except that I hate those motorways, big roads, traffic… My maps are not very accurate, and I got lost many times in those awful motorways… That’s why I’m planning now to go to Richmond by train, and from there continue on Adventure Cyclist Association’s bicycle trail towards west. At least those maps are good… All the best to you!
Awww, Paivi, I wish I was with you! I have not started yet! You made fast progress. Good job! What maps did you use? You should take the Greenway. It’s a bicycle trail that takes you all the way to Virginia and even Florida. Ask where the Greenway is to avoid heavy traffic roads.
Take Heart, Jasmine. You are beautiful and strong and one of the most positive people I know. It sounds like you are doing a great job reframing your thoughts. You WILL succeed. I know it. You are making awfully good lemonade out of life’s lemons.
This delay just gives you more time to prepare mentally and physically!!! Your ride across America is going to be awesome!!!

Keep going, Jasmine. Refuse to listen to self-defeating thoughts. Whatever happens, happens to make up life’s lessons. We need those for a full life. Whatever happens is for God’s glory—it all works out that way.

That was the intent and I just wanted it to be clear so you would understand the craziness of an off the wall post that seemed to make no sense.
